Mindful, Not Mythical Get the book

Privacy

Here's what happens to your information when you visit groundedhumanity.co.uk or email us.

Who we are

Grounded Humanity Press publishes Mindful, Not Mythical by Carlton Embers. If you have a question about your information, email hello@groundedhumanity.co.uk.

When you visit

You can read this site and play the free practices without signing up or giving your name or email. The site doesn't use analytics or adverts. If you enter the code from the book, the site saves one small cookie on your device, so the other six practices stay open when you come back. It holds no details about you, lasts a year, and you can clear it in your browser settings.

Like most websites, the site's host, Cloudflare, keeps basic visit records, such as your IP address and the type of browser you use, so the site keeps working and stays safe. Cloudflare's privacy policy explains how long it keeps them.

If you email us

If you email us, we'll see your email address, your name if you include it, and whatever you write. We use these only to reply to you. We never add you to a mailing list or share your details.

Your email goes through Spaceship, which forwards it to our Gmail inbox. The law calls our reason for using your details "legitimate interests": we need them to answer you.

We keep your emails for 12 months after our last reply, then delete them.

Where your details are kept

Cloudflare, Spaceship and Google may store your details outside the UK, for example in the US. Each company's privacy policy explains how it protects them there.

Links to other sites

The "Get the book" buttons go to Amazon, and some links go to helplines or research papers. Those sites have their own privacy policies, which explain what they collect.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can also ask us to pause using it while a problem is sorted out. Email hello@groundedhumanity.co.uk and we'll reply within one month.

You can tell us to stop

You can ask us to stop using your details at any time. Email us and we'll stop.

If you're unhappy

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
